Backpack food program — Feeding Kids From Low-Income Families

Reclaimed helps provide snacks for the Channahon-Minooka Rotary Club Backpack program. The food is discreetly put into backpacks of kids from low-income families. Volunteers from The Village Christian Church, Channahon-Minooka Rotary Club, and Channahon School District social workers work together on this service project. 30 Thanksgiving dinner boxes were delivered November 16-17, 2017 to single moms in the Minooka area. The boxes contain stuffing mix, gravy, green beans, mushroom and chicken soups, fruit, coffee, and dessert. A bag of potatoes and a turkey are also part of the delivery.
